[NEWS] @NBA : @Orlando_Magic 's @DwightHoward Is Out For The Season

Sources confirmed on Thursday, April 19th, that superstar center Dwight Howard will not be returning this season in the NBA. Also, Howard is unlikely to be healthy enough to play in this summer's olympic games in London. Howard will be out due to a surgery intended to repair a herniated disk in his lower back. Howard had been complaining about back pains since early March, receiving epidurals to releive pain. After thinking that a 10-14 day rest was all that was necessary, team doctors noticed that pain had increased and insisted that the superstar get surgery. The upcoming only adds to what has been a storied season for Dwight Howard. After early trade rumors, speculation of signing elsewhere, and teammate turmoil, he has been rumored to make numerous statements expressing his desire to never play for current coach Stan Van Gundy again. Have Orlando Magic fans possibly witnessed their most dominate player play sport the pinstripped number 12? If so, one has to imagine the dejavu that occurs thinking about Shaquille O'neal's early playing days in Orlando.

Forbes Magazine has recently announced there annual wealthiest hip-hop artist list and Diddy topped the list with Jay-Z and Dr.Dre right behind him. With a net-worth of $550 million due to investments in Ciroc Vodka, his clothing lines, and his record label Bad Boy. Mr. Combs could potentially be falling into the billionaire category very soon , depending of the success of his new cable channel , Revolt. Ironically , they call me " Little Diddy of the City " , hopefully my bank account can reflect that nickname and soon !

[NEWS] @Drake Gives Up and Coming Artist A Chance Of A Lifetime

When your blessed with a life changing opportunity, its only right to pass on the favor. Not to long ago, Drake received a call from Lil' Wayne to come out to H-Town so he could showcase his skills and possibly sign with YMCMB. The rest of the story is history. In honor of the events that changed his life forever, Drake is giving the same opportunity to an emerging artist. He'll present an up-and-coming MC with the chance to open for him on his "Club Paradise" Tour. The selected individual will travel on the 27-city tour in his or her own tour bus, rolling through the cities with the likes of J. Cole and Waka Flocka. Submissions for the contest began on Monday (April 16), with the contest running through April 30, and fan voting for the best emcee goes on from April 30 to May 2. The winner will be selected from the top 100 artists in the competition, pending the approval of Drake, Real Hip Hop Network and OurStage.























Drake's "Club Paradise" Tour opens May 7 in Concord, CA and ends June 17 in Mansfield, MA.

For some music artists it just comes naturally. The Kid Ryan is a California based recording artist that is making some noise with his catchy hooks and prominent wordplay. The Kid Ryan only just recently began promoting his musical talents but has dealt with music all his life. Growing up in Fresno, California Ryan found his passion for music like most do, by dealing with life's experiences. It is easy to see that passion when seeing Ryan at work. The Kid Ryan first caught fans attention earlier this year by dropping a couple Youtube videos. He then began to work with artist L.!.Z and MinuteTillSix.com. The Kid Ryan has been hard at work on his first mixtape. Due in late June or early July, the untitled mixtape will be a taste of what he has been working on. Quick to kill a beat or write a slick hook, The Kid Ryan is someone to keep an eye out for.

As a kid coming up in the golden age of hip-hop, Essense realized his fascination with rap and wordplay early. “I remember hearing old Pac, LL Cool J, and Wu-Tang records, and memorizing them line-for-line. It was cool to see all the different styles and subject matters of rap co-exist together at the time.” It would be a while before Essense actually attempted to pen his own lyrics, but his interest was sparked.

Once he got to high school, he started making some early attempts at rap. “I would have these awful freestyle battles online; I hadn’t really found my style or voice as an MC. I remember recording at a friend’s house with an old computer mic taped to a closet door.” The resulting songs were a far cry from quality material, but they would keep him determined to improve.

Towards the end of high school and beginning of college, he began to get more into freestyling. “It really helped me hone and practice my skills. People wouldn’t expect me to jump in the cipher, and it became a big confidence booster.” Outside of freestyling, Essense started to write some of his first songs. It was the groundwork for developing as an MC.

In college, the raps started coming more naturally. A chance meeting with a local producer really turned the corner for his career as an MC. “He really motivated me to improve as an MC. Up until that point, I only had personal songs on my computer, but I had the confidence to spit on one of his instrumentals. It was essentially my first studio session”.

Essence burst on the scene w/ his new " The Journeyman EP ", produced entirely by Curtis Tull ( of Lost Artistry ). With spacy beats and heartfelt lyrics, he hopes to bring my unique style to the deep pool of DMV talent.

As promised Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg performed at Coachella, and brought a few guest along with them as well. The extended roster included 50 cent, Wiz Khalifa, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Warren G, Kurupt, Tony Yayo and the late great Tupac Shakur. With all the hype surrounding this legendary west-coast performance the only person we didn't see was Nate Dogg.

[NEWS] Nicki Minaj Temporarily Deletes Her Twitter






















" The Barbz have gone mad. On Sunday (April 15), Nicki Minaj deactivated her Twitter account leaving millions of her fans and followers awaiting her comeback-- but that may not happen. After getting into a Twitter tiff with some of her followers, Nicki pulled the plug on her account. “Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f--king bye,” she wrote. before vanishing from the social networking site.

Minutes before, Nicki had vowed to get rid of the account after she blocked a fan site that she accused of posting leaked music. DJLaz1.com (part of the Complex Network) managed to capture some screen grabs.

The offending site, NickiDaily.com is also down, stripped of all of it’s content with only the word “closed” posted. Instead of their Barbie-related content, the site just plays the somber sounding “Dear Old Nicki” in a loop. The track which appeared on Minaj’s 2010 debut is rather appropriate. On it she raps to her former self: “And tell me that you coming back that you just took a break/Maybe I blamed you for everything, that was my mistake.”

Whether NickiDaily was the exact reason that the Young Money star deleted her Twitter is unclear. There are few artists who have a closer relationship with her fans than Nicki, and fewer artists who are as big as her on Twitter. Last week the Harajuku Barbie landed the #1 album in the country with her sophomore effort Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded after selling 253,000 copies in its first week. " - Rob Markman
